About the event
How often are we called upon to collaborate, manage or engage others who aren’t in the next cubicle or even the next CONTINENT? How do we approach those interactions to positively impact engagement and productivity? Take an unlikely trip with NAAAHR-Milwaukee to visit Willy Wonka to explore how a little juicing can benefit everyone's trip to the Chocolate Factory. In this session we will:
- Identify characteristics often attributed to US-workers and organization
- Understand simple strategies to overcome those stereotypes
- Recognize how engagement can be impacted by adjusting how we do work

LaShonda Hill is the Internal Communications Lead for the Information Technology and Global & Information Security organizations at Rockwell Automation based in Milwaukee, WI. Her extensive background in HR includes work in the generalist space, global shared services, HR compliance, talent acquisition, diversity & inclusion and workforce analytics. In her work abroad, LaShonda has been enlightened to the perceptions of Americans who travel overseas – especially those who do so for business outside the US. This has created a passion for sharing her experiences to help others understand how being culturally adaptable plays an important role in effectively achieving goals in unfamiliar lands. LaShonda holds a BA in Broadcast Communications with a focus in Human Resources from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
