About the event
In this two-part session, we will focus on mentorship and resume writing.
The definition of a mentor will vary depending on the nature and focus of the mentor and mentee relationship, however most people would agree on the following broad definition:
“A mentor is someone with valuable experience who helps you (mentee) make important career and life decisions.”
In this presentation, we will explore several topics that include:
- The purpose and benefits of mentoring
- The different types of mentoring relationships
- How mentors and mentees, can best pursue these relationships
- How to set up an effective mentoring program in the workplace
Additionally, just as a Salesman holds a pitch to sell a product or service, a Resume fuels a purpose to sell “You” on paper!
In this portion of our presentation, we will explore the following:
- What is your Elevator Pitch?
- Thinking outside the box when creating your Resume
- My Resume = My Pathways: Past, Present, and Future
