About the event

🔍 Event Overview: May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Since its inception in 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month has been a cornerstone of addressing the challenges faced by millions of Americans living with mental health conditions. However, the recent pandemic has magnified the effects of mental health issues within our workplaces. Especially as organizations have begun to initiate return to office policies.

It’s no secret that employee wellbeing, in a post-pandemic landscape, is suffering: Employees are struggling with stress, burnout, and loneliness like never before. In fact, four in 10 U.S. employees say their job is negatively impacting their mental health.

To make matters worse, fewer than one in four employees say their organization cares about their wellbeing – nearly half the number who said the same before COVID-19 rocked the workplace. This data suggest the workforce is headed toward a tragic wellness crisis if things don’t change.

HR professionals have a key role in recognizing and minimizing the negative impact that mental health issues have within our organizations.
