This is NAAAHR WNY Rochester's inaugural signature event designed to engage and activate regional employers to pay attention, support and nurture Black employees with intention to drive business growth.
In response to the George Floyd murder and the outcry to end racism, many organizations seemed to wake up overnight with a frenzied sense of urgency and began to develop new strategies and initiatives. They issued statements of solidarity, scheduled town hall sessions with all employees to proclaim their commitment to ensuring racist-free work environments and pledged millions of dollars to organizations focused on eradicating racism. These events combined with ravishing COVID-19 outbreaks that disproportionately effect Blacks have forever changed the world and put a new spotlight on the Black employee.
How have these events impacted your Black employees? Are your Black employees being heard and validated in a way that maximizes contribution and heightens engagement? Have power brokers identified specific accountability measures and transparent practices and goals that support racial equity and justice?
We want to give voice to the Black employee experience through targeted keynotes for executives, guided facilitation and tools for employee resource group gatherings, and operationalized engagement strategies for BIPOC employees and practitioners. Join us for this unique learning journey!!
