About the event

A key element in achieving and advancing a diverse, inclusive, and culturally competent workforce is by creating an inclusive culture where respect, equity, and positive recognition of differences are cultivated, diverse voices are heard, and everyone feels valued.

A key strategy to accomplishing this lies within having a comprehensive and intentional Diversity Inclusion and Cultural Competence plan. HR can play a major part in fostering inclusive cultures by intersecting D&I strategies within their HR plan.

Come and learn how The Centers For Independence (CFI) a mid-sized non-profit organization, formed intentional intersections within departments of their HR teams, and proactively embedded their Employee Assistance Plan within their D&I strategy, to help their organization work toward:

  • Achieving its organizational vision, mission strategy
  • Live its values
  • Attracting and retaining diverse talent and
  • Cultivate engaged leaders who inspire inclusion and champion diversity

CFI will share these efforts and others with a panel discussion featuring:

  • Denise Kelly Banks-- VP of Human Resources
  • Donna Pierson-- Director Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll
  • Randy Kratz Senior Account Manager, FEI
  • Moderator--Alvin C. Hill, Jr Senior Director of Diversity & Cultural Competence
